30 Covert Emotional Manipulation Tactics: How Manipulators Take Control In Personal Relationships by Adelyn Birch
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
3 1/2 stars rounded up to four.
Another short but useful book from Birch. I felt it wasn’t ‘as’ useful as Boundaries After a Pathological Relationship (my review is here) but still worth the read. The two books probably work well in tandem now that I think about it. They have a small amount of repeated content (Birch’s list of basic human rights, for example) but this one is focused mainly on covering Birch’s list of manipulation techniques to look out for. A few of the techniques overlap, but hey…honestly this is good stuff to know. Awareness is key.
